Debt Reduction Services
Debt Reduction Services are different than those of a Debt Consolidation company. It is very important for our clients to understand this. The later company simply acts as a middle-man between you and your creditors. You send them a check each month and they pay your creditor bills for you. There is no credit card debt reduction or negotiations with these companies. Unfortunately for these Debt Consolidation companies, the drop-out rate within the first year alone is roughly 90%, once people figure out they are not getting the debt help they need.
Debt Settlement Services companies, such as Nationwide Debt Reduction, actually contact your creditors on your behalf. Our debt negotiation services team will then explain to your creditors the hardship(s) you are facing. From there they will actively negotiate your principal balance down to a fraction of what you currently owe, making it much easier to pay off your creditors. Therefore, there is a big difference between the two types of companies!
Our experience has been that clients who take advantage of our debt settlement services program, there is a deep sense of relief in that they know:
1.) We can reduce their monthly credit card payments by 40% to 60% of what you are currently paying, as you will not be paying off the entire balance you owe; however a negotiated discount. Debt settlement services are very similar to the IRS’s version of their offer and compromise program.
2.) It can take you as little as 18 – 36 months to complete the program, depending upon what you can afford to pay each month.
3.) You do not have to file for bankruptcy, which continues on your credit report for a full 10 years, affecting all sorts of credit issues and possibly employment opportunities as well.
4.) We have made it extremely easy for you to find out more about this program. Simply go to our Getting Started page and complete the information form, or call our toll free number 800.890.6658 anytime between 8:00 am to 5:00 pm MST.
Top Rated Company
The Better Business Bureau also gives our company an high rating. It is our goal to retain this highly rated debt negotiation services rating by taking the utmost care of our clients. In fact, over 60% of our staff has been through this program themselves. We trust that you will allow us an opportunity to take advantage of our debt reduction services as well.
Nationwide Debt Reduction, Inc. has been in business since 2001, and incorporated in 2003. That is a long time to have been to have been in this see/saw business. We have seen many companies come and go over the years. However, as a Christian company, our promise to our clients ever since inception, has always been to only act in the most LEGAL, ETHICAL and MORAL manner possible, helping our clients who truly need credit card debt help.
How Does It Work?
Most Debt Reduction Services companies charge you a fee (between 20% – 30%) of the dollar amount they save you. For example, let us say you owe one of your creditors $3,000. One of your debt negotiation services representatives calls your creditor, explains to them your hardship, and both parties agree to a settlement in full of $1,000.
In this example, you saved $2,000 ($3,000 – $1,000). Then let us say that same company charges you a fee of 30% of the savings. The fee on this transaction would be $600 ($2,000 x 30%). Therefore, your total out of pocket expense would be $1,600 ($1,000 to your creditor and $600 to the debt settlement services company). Again, you originally owed $3,000. As a result, you completed that entire transaction at approximately $.53 cents on the dollar ($1,600 divided by $3000) of what you originally owed. It is that simple!
Can I Do This on My Own?
There is nothing to prevent you from trying. However, it has been our experience that most creditors will not give you a “reasonable” settlement on your own. In the above example, the professional debt negotiator was able to negotiate a settlement down to $.33 cents on the dollar. Clients tell us they have tried to do this on their own, and the best they might get a creditor to reduce the amount that they owe to $.70 cents or $.80 cents on the dollar. In addition, it is very time consuming and each creditor knows you know very little about this aspect of the business. However, you can always try.
In addition, if you mention to them you are going to use a credit card debt reduction company, they will immediately tell you they do not negotiate with these types of companies. Suffice it to say, if they did not, we would not be in business! They will tell you ANYTHING, to get you to make some type of payment or payment plan with them. This does not solve the problem.
We know what it is like to be in your shoes. In addition, you do not pay a fee until a settlement has been made on your behalf. Therefore, the risk is very low if at all.
Debt Reduction Services:
Debt reduction services are designed for those people who feel that they are stuck in what we describe as the “debt trap” with no end in sight. We define “the debt trap” as making your monthly payments to your creditors on time, however due to an increase in interest rates, or some other factor, you cannot get ahead in paying down your debt principal. Nationwide Debt Reduction, Inc. is in the business of offering debt reduction services to individuals, families and/or small businesses throughout the United States, through negotiations directly with your creditors.
Debt Negotiation Services
Debt Negotiation services is simply the process of letting our negotiation team contact each creditor on your behalf, and negotiate your debt down for a fraction of what you owe. Why would a creditor do this, you may ask? The simple answer: They do not want you to file for bankruptcy, in which case, they would get nothing back in terms of what you owe them. This way they are getting something back.
