Getting Out of Debt
It is unfortunate however in reality debt limits many of the options that we have each day. Personally, I never knew that until I went through our debt reduction plan myself. In all honesty, I cannot tell you the feeling of what being completely debt free (excluding my mortgage) meant to me. I felt I had been a salve to my paycheck each week. I felt I had absolutely no options in my life, other than grind away at my job, (which I did not like) and work the debt relief program in its entirety.
I went from feeling like a slave, to the best type of freedom I think a man/breadwinner can experience. I no longer owed anybody anything! If I wanted to, I could quit my job (which I did) and actually came to work here with the company that helped me out in the first place.
I was free to move and do whatever I wanted, because I was literally free. How did it happen? Well, like with many of you ... it started with a simple phone call to a debt counselor at Nationwide Debt Reduction who took the time to explain how debt relief works, and a little trust on my part that Nationwide was going to do what they promised they would do ... and did!
A simple plan to eliminate your past mistakes with debt will provide you and your family with a better lifestyle for the future. I promise! Being in a "debt trap," as Nationwide calls it, means that you probably have very little savings and you are living mostly off your credit cards that are near to their limit. Another common symptom is that you could be juggling your bills each month so some are paid and the ones that are not are paid in next month's juggle. To begin to plan, you must acknowledge and accept that you will need to make some hard decisions to climb out of debt trap.
The first step is to make your debt reduction plan and the actions needed from the plan as your number one highest priority. Be realistic with your budget but on the other hand you need to be ruthless to achieve your financial goals. First, you need to identify just exactly how much unsecured debt you actually have. This is usually your credit cards, personal loans and medical bills. Second, you need to cut those credit cards up and pull back on the lifestyle they bring with the associated debt. Third, you need to call one of Nationwide's debt counselors and find out if you qualify for their program. Finally, you need to follow the instructions that will be given you to the tee.
If you are willing to do this, you could conceivable be out of debt in 1-3 years (and completely free) for the first time in a long time. There are two was to get started.
